Talk Back after Happiness

May 11th
4:00pm
Immediately following the 2:00pm performance
of The Pursuit of Happiness

Talk Back, Happiness

Our guest speaker is motivational author and success coach, Dianne Orwig. In her book entitled In The Box, Dianne reveals how, as we move through adult life, we tend to lose sight of our true passions and dreams, the very things that move us toward our authentic purpose – how, in the chaos of career, family and time constraints, we inadvertently tie our happiness to what others want and, ultimately, lose sight of our own true happiness.

"I love the play The Pursuit of Happiness because it really captures the essence of what I talk about in my book – that, so often, as we work through life, the preferences, wants and desires that are unique to our purpose become locked away, in a place I call 'The Box.' Once you discover the keys to opening that 'box,' incredibly magical things begin to happen!"

Bang, Bang, You're Dead

May 12th - May 13th

Bang, Bang, you're Dead is a play about high school shooting written by William Mastrosimone. It takes place after the fact in the jail cell of the shooter where he is haunted by his victims who want to know why he killed them.

Bang Bang You're Dead is a resource for dealing with a broken world that's violent, unhealthy, unfair, and beyond the power of anyone to fix except today's generation.

The play will be performed by the Hippodrome Improvisational Teen Theatre (HITT) students
Monday, May 12 @ 11:30am in the Hipp Cinema
and May 13 @ 6:30pm @ Hawthorne High School
